Seblaine || Cupcakes

Seb feels Blaine lean into him, and circles an arm around his best friend, crying harder as he does. He doesn’t feel like a regular teenage boy, at this point, but at least he has Blaine to not be normal with. The cupcakes help, too, in making him feel relaxed enough to let his guard down, and he’s guessing it’s helping Blaine, too.

He chuckles dryly at Blaine’s comment. “It’s supposed to! Maybe it’s deficient,” and then, with another giggle, he places a kiss on the top of Blaine’s head, willing all his hurt to go away.

“I know, Whoregoat… I know. And it will. There’s, what, a week left? And then you’ll be with Kurt and away from all of… this and it will start to get better. I just… it has to.”

“Your mom would give us bad weed,” he says, giggling a little himself because he can’t deny the humor in that. Closing his eyes when he feels Seb press a kiss to his head, he tries to get his mind to turn off for a bit, to just let go, but he can’t.

“Yeah, for now. But I still have to give a statement. And what if there’s a trial? Will I have to testify? And, and, God! Seb.. what if the tests come back positive? How do I tell Kurt that he might have some kind of disease from this guy? I mean.. I tried. I tried so hard to focus on him, to keep whatever we did really, really safe for him but I might have slipped up somewhere.”

He’s stopped crying at this point, but all of these what ifs are terrifying to him and he’s starting to panic, his breaths hitching in his chest.

“That’s Mama L for you,” Seb agrees, so thankful to see even the smallest smile on his best friends face, but it’s gone just as quickly as it came.

“I-I, Blaine, I wish I knew what to say, but I just… I don’t. I’m just… I’m praying for the best. And… and I guess that’s all we can do, at this point. But I think… I think you care to much about Kurt to have… have made a mistake, at any point. He’s too… he’s the main focus of your life. Even if you thought you weren’t thinking about him, you were… somewhere back there,” Seb says, knocking softly on the back of Blaine’s head.

“And I also think that if this guy knows what’s good for him, he’s just going to plead guilty. There’s so, so much evidence against him, even if he were to plead innocent, it just… he couldn’t get away with it. I won’t let him.”
